Fly Casting Lessons with Capt Will Benson, Capt. Dave Teper and the www.worldangling.com crew.
On Thursday, May 15th, 2008 Capt. Will Benson, Capt. Dave Teper and their crew drove up to Marathon High School to give a very special presentation on fly casting and video documentaries. For those of you that aren't familiar with www.worldangling.com please do yourself a favor and check out their website and click on the videos-pics link and check out their videos.
Capt. Will started the meeting with an introduction and a little background information. Will and his crew are very hardcore fly fishermen and they took their love of the sport to the next level by investing in video cameras, a video production software, computers, and other tools necessary for making outstanding videos. They went on to discuss the filming process and then they showed us their film "Tarpon Season", which is an award winning video documentary on fly fishing.
After the video and a questions and answer session, our entire group went out to the football field for a first class fly casting lesson and let me tell you...these guys are first class all of the way. They did an outstanding job in keeping the group's interest the entire time and the kids really took to it well. Below are some pictures of the day. We would also like to extend a huge thanks to Capt Will and the crew for taking the time out of their busy schedules and hanging out with us!!!
